From the OPHS.net Memorials page...
BOBBY R. PANDEGIROT, JR (BJ) September 7, 1979 - June 12, 2003
BJ played JV basketball and football and graduated in 1997 from OPHS. He attended Oxford College of Emory University in Oxford, GA for 1 year. He returned to Florida and earned an Associate of Arts degree at Florida Community College at Jacksonville and then transferred to University of Florida. BJ graduated from UF in December, 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. His goal was to be a pharmaceutical salesman, however, at the time of his death, he was employed at HCA in Orange Park and was studying for the GRE to enter graduate school. BJ was very outgoing and fun to be with. His friends described him, "He was loudest at any party and he made each one of them feel like they were his best friend". BJ enjoyed life to the fullest and packed more in 23 years than most people do in a lifetime. BJ told his aunt when he was 10 years old that he wanted to be a missionary. Over 300 people attended his memorial service and we all feel we were BJ's mission. He made everyone of us feel special with his quick wit, beautiful smile and great sense of humor. He had a way of making the worst situations better with his upbeat personality and beautiful smile. His family and friends meant the world to him. BJ will be missed by all that knew him. His parents can be reached at IPandegiro1003@cs.com
